YouTube, the world’s most popular and sought-after video-sharing website, has announced that it will soon be increasing the video upload time limit on its site. The video upload time will be substantially increased from 10 minutes to 15 minutes. This will facilitate the users in submitting their comparatively lengthy videos and they do not have to cut and edit them just because of the time constraints. So, the users are only going to welcome the move.

The sources from the company have revealed this information. However, it is still not known that why it intends to increase the upload time. It is to be noted that the upload time surge was expected long time ago. So, the change is welcome to the users.

Now users can more focus on including more content as they will not be slashing their videos anymore to abide by the time limit. The date of the new change has not yet been announced by the company. There are reports that the increase in the upload time will be celebrated by the company with a “15 minutes of fame” contest and the YouTube homepage will display it.
