Not so long ago Microsoft posted job ads which means the software producer is going to build its Xbox Live online gaming platform in Windows Mobile.

Microsoft needs a Principlal Program Manager who is able to drive the platform and integrate Xbox LIVE enabled games to Windows Mobile. The task of such person is to concentrate on what makes gaming experiences ‘Live Enabled’ through such options as social interactions, multi-screen experiences and avatar integration.

Also the company is looking for software tester that will have to bring more entertainment to Windows Mobile.

It should be mentioned that integrating Xbox Live with Windows Mobile will have a certain sense. Nowadays there are gadgets that use the platform but, unfortunately, they are not able to rival with Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch in user interface. Recently the Apple devices have become popular mostly because the majority part of games is available on Apple’s App Store.

It is expected that Xbox Live will be available on the new Windows Mobile 7 platform, it may happen in the fourth quarter of 2010. Windows Mobile 7 should have the feature gap between competitors such as Google Android devices and the iPhone and its platform.

I don’t think it’s possible for Xbox to run on Windows Mobile 7.

Microsoft’s Windows Mobile phone OS has failed in the market. Its share has dropped rapidly. The software developers have gone to Android and iPhone.

Now Microsoft is advertising for game programmers to bring Xbox to Windows Mobile 7. There is no way that Microsoft will have this ready for WM7. It will be years away. I think Windows Mobile will be dead in the market well before then.
