Verizon unveiled its new Motorola Devour. The device will be based on Google’s Android OS and will be equipped with a physical keyboard.

It will be a slider that comes with a 3.1-inch, HVGA capacitive touchscreen and offers the resolution of 320 by 480 pixels.

The model will be available with Android OS 1.6, and will include the traditional range of software. Due to them users will be able to connect to Google services such as YouTube and Gmail.  It is expected that the phone will boast of 20,000 third-party apps.

Moreover, the Devour will be the first model of Verizon that will come with MotoBlur, Motorola’s software combining messages from such social networking services as Facebook and Twitter, consumer and business e-mail accounts, text messages,

It will be equipped with software for playing music and video and it will have an 8 GB microSD memory card. The phone will also feature an integrated 3.0 MPx camera as well as a GPS receiver.

It is expected that the Motorola Devour will be launched next month.

The price of the device is still unknown, but there are hopes that will be not so expensive as the Motorola Droid.
