The announcement that the iPhone 3GS will come with much more battery life if compare with its predecessor became a bit premature. A lot of reports can be read on various sites according to which it is impossible to go for a whole day without the necessity to recharge the device.

Everything began with LA Times reporter David Sarno’s article; it was about the buyers annoyance of the juice lack that the new device has offered.

Sarno’s colleague Michelle Maltais made a test with her 3GS and it turned out that the iPhone provides only 17% charge left by 6:30 pm after it was charged fully in the morning. During the day the she played a video that lasted four minutes, listened to 20 minutes of music also she pushed e-mail and a couple of quick looks online. No calls were made by her, moreover, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi were turned off.

According to Michelle Maltais, the S in 3GS can be used for various things, but unfortunately, it doesn’t stand for stamina. Moreover, some hardware reviewers discovered the battery to be 15% smaller if compare with the original iPhone’s.

One can find a lot of postings concerning Apple. One of the users wrote that there is no use to have such device that is available with a range of functions but does not have enough battery life to utilize one of them in a particular way.
