windows_7Now before you actually want to buy Windows 7, you can have hands on it for as many as 4 months. The trial period for Windows 7 that was initially decided at one month has been extended by Microsoft at four months.
It seems as though Microsoft was able to understand its customer’s concerns that one month is not sufficient to try an operating system.

Though it is not something that will bring money loss to Microsoft, but it still remains to be known that the ‘hack’, which has been detailed on the Windows Secrets site, is actually approved by the company.

But how extend the trial period in your demo version? Here is the answer.

Get hold of Windows demo version of your choice, install it and use for 30 days which is when the official trial period ends. Then start the Software License Manager and type in ‘slmgr -rearm’. This will reset the trial for 30 days three times. So this way you have four months in all instead of just one.
