The Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot C905a is a camera phone that comes in a sleek and sharp design. If you look at it from the back you will notice that the phone looks like a point-and-shoot camera, it’s due to the sliding camera lens cover. It has a price tag of below 7000 rupees in India, which is around $ 150. Samsung seems to be making sure the phone is really affordable.

Its features include 1.3 megapixel camera, 22 MB internal memory, FM radio with recording option and battery with a capacity of 960 mAh to 8 hours talk time.

The Corby Pop features touch screen with a resolution of 240×320 pixels. The phone also has added in it the new applications – Palringo IM and program for simulating telephone calls.

Samsung released a phone known as S3650 that is designed for youth with touch controls. The mobile device comes with various features and is offered in several colors. As the phone does not have Wi-Fi networks as well as support of 3G technology, one can say that it is economical.

Nokia Forecasted: Mobile’s Global Sales Will Increase

According to Nokia, the leading mobile phone producer, mobile’s global sales will go up by 10 percent in volume next year despite the fact there was a fall of seven percent this year.

Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, Nokia’s chief executive, expected that the demand on smartphones would considerably higher.

Despite the fact that it was expected by the company its total market to be flat next year the cost of its market share as regarded euros would increase lightly.

In October Nokia announced about its first loss.

Nokia’s third quarter dead loss amounted 559 million euros (844 million dollars) that led to 4,200 job cuts, including 1,300 voluntary departures that was considered to be the part of a recovery program introduced in January.

Because of economic recession many customers had to shorten their spending. It was counted by Nokia that about 1.12 billion mobile devices would be sold all over the world this year that was less in comparison with the last year.

“Visibility to the market is a little bit better,” chief financial officer Timo Ihamuotila noted. He also said that the firm competition among companies still existed, but Nokia believed that its smartphones would find the market and the company would get a bigger share of its gadget sales next year. Due to that the company profitability would increase.

Last Month Nokia launched its N900 device that is based on the Linux Maemo platform and got good feedback on its browsing functions.

Acer Releases Android Based Cell Phones

Acer Inc began to sell its first sell phones that are based on Google’s Android software. One can note that the company that is considered to be the second-largest PC’s manufacturer in the world, it enters the mobile market introducing 10 models this week.

When Google Is Going to Release its Android –Based Handset?

Someone said that Google was going to create its own brand handset. And now LG is planning to release its brand handsets next year.

According to some sources, Google has marked a Korean phone manufacturer in order to release its phone vision, as for Samsung, the company shows its interest in the iPhone that can tie its hands from any association, while LG currently is like a better bet.

Unlike the HTC-branded G1, the product will have Google’s logo as well as Google’s design.

Earlier it was expected that the Android-packing Google handset will be available in the market before Christmas but it will appear only in 2010. The company is preparing to make a campaign for the handset in January.

Samsung bring new processors for new 3D gaming phones

Two new 1GHz processors have been unveiled by Samsung. Both these processors will feature in mobile phones during the beginning of 2010.

These recent information from Samsung’s Mobile Solutions Forum in Tapei indicate the possibility of mobile phones with 1080p HD output at 30 fps and 3D gaming.

Also, there are controls for a capacitate touchscreen.

It has camera modules that bring video recording capabilities with 5 mega pixel sensors competent to handle 1080p.

Sony Ericsson to launch Xperia 3 in Jan 2010

It is being rumored that Xperia X3, Sony Ericsson’s Android phone is to be launched in January 2010. The Xperia X2 is already planned for 2009.
It might happen that with Xperia 3 being launched too soon after Xperia 2, the former might steal all the limelight as they have almost the same look too.
But on the other hand, both of them are based on different operating systems and their features are very different too.

It is known that the Xperia 3 will be an Android phone with a 4-inch WVGA touchscreen, 8.1 mega pixel camera with image stabilization, smile shutter and face detection. Also on the board will be Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi AGPS mapping and a media player.

There is no official announcement on the date of release although.

INQ plans Android phones

At the GigaOm Mobilize conference INQ’s CEO Frank Meehan confessed that the company had considered other operating systems which also include Windows Mobile and Palm’s WebOS.
At the same time, he also said, “We came to the conclusion that aside from licensing Palm [WebOS], which is a fairly difficult thing to do, Android was really most suited for our plans with touch-screen devices”.
INQ made a place in the market of smartphones after launching pocket friendly social networking handsets like Mini and Chat phones which are friendly to Twitter and the INQ1 which is especially made for Facebook lovers.
As INQ asserts, an android is the best option for the company because of the great customization it brings to its users.

LG launches GM730 smartphone with Qualcomm processor

The GM730 smartphone is a collective effort of mobile maker LG and chipset manufacturer Qualcomm. The handset was recently launched at an event in New Delhi.

The most notable feature of the LG GM730 is that it is just 11.9 mm thick. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s MSM7201A 528 MHz processor. Its smooth round edges give a very fine look to its body.
