Freescale to showcase 7-inch tablet at CES 2010

Freescale is ready to launch its new 7-inch touchscreen device at CES 2010, featuring a tablet design with four times the larger area than a smartphone and almost one-third the size of a netbook.

Taking advantage of the ARM processor technology, . At CES, the tablet will be demonstrated featuring both Linux and Android OS. The tablet is based on Freescale’s highly integrated i.MX515 processor incorporating ARM Cortex-A8 technology and also includes Freescale’s MC13892 power management IC, SGTL5000 audio codec and MMA8450Q 3-axis accelerometer.

“Freescale’s new tablet opens the door to an exciting new world of compelling form factors specifically designed and optimized to support common online activities including social media, high-quality audio/video playback and light gaming,” said Henri Richard, senior vice president of Sales and Marketing for Freescale. “We believe the tablet will emerge as a popular form factor for the next generation of smartbooks.

It packs in an array of functions such as support for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless connectivity, a 3D desktop framework with touch screen/QWERTY keyboard and 3G modem and RF4CE protocol options.

The tablet is said to be capable of running the various essential applications while some other attributes are 4GB to 64GB internal storage with support for microSD card, USB 2.0 and USB mini ports, Bluetooth 2.1, and 3 Mpixel camera.

HTC Ready to Launch touch tablet in CES 2010 ?

Hope CES 2010 will play host to yet another badass Android tablet PC by HTC.

SlashGear reports that HTC is currently finishing up “several working models of a touch tablet”. One of these models will be an Android device, with a Qualcomm processor.

The other will run Chrome OS and may use the same chip.HTC is rumored to be working with Adobe on the tablet, which could mean this will be the first device to see Android/Flash functionality.

The tablet is only being shown to a select group of HTC customers at CES 2010, but we’re virtually guaranteed to hear something juicy about this new product over the course of the conference.

Asus Works on Eee Tablet

Despite the fact that still one can hear rumors about the Apple Tablet, Asus is going to release a tablet known as Eee Pad. Many consider that the Apple Tablet inspired Asus to manufacture the Eee Pad.

Asus’ Eee Pad will be equipped with a4-inch to 7-inch display panel and will have functions similar to Tablet PC with Mobile Internet Device (MID).

One should note that Asus always provides affordable products and to prove this one can remember such model as the first Eee PC model. At present Asus is developing a cheap dual-screen Eee Reader that can be seen at the CES 2010.

Also the company released LCD display considering Eee Keyboard at CEBIT expo that was held earlier this year. If look at the Eee Reader and Eee Keyboard this new Eee Tablet is considered to be realistic. It is expected that the device will be introduced at the CES 2010 next month where one can know whether rumors are true or not.

Acer AO532 with Atom Pine Trail CPU Will Be Presented at CES 2010

A new netbook Aspire One 532 will be introduced at CES 2010 in January. Moreover the netbook will be available with the upcoming Intel Pine Trail-M platform.

Acer Aspire One 532h come with a10.1-inch WSVGA LED backlight screen that has the resolution of 1280×720. It will be based on the new Intel Atom N450 processor that is considered to be Pineview chip. The chip includes memory controller as well as Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 graphics controller. A for Acer AO532h, the device is also known to have Intel GMA 3150 graphics due to which the gadget is able to perform good HD play back on the 1280×720 resolution screen.

This Pineview Atom N450 CPU backs up DDR2 memory with 667MHz FSB. Thermal Design Power rating of Pineview chips is expected to be higher because CPU and Integrated graphics are found on the same die.

If we remember the plans of Intel, the company was going to release new Intel Atom N450 and 1.83GHz Intel Atom N470 processors designed for Pine Trail-M platform. Pine Trail-M platform is considered to be compact, have efficient options and feature.

But all these devices will be introduced at CES in 2010.
