The First Impression about Apple’s iPad

It took years for Apple to create the iPad. But Gadget site Gizmodo made a list of backbreaking failures of the device. Among such failures Gizmodo included the name of the gadget, i.e. the iPad, then comes the aesthetic failure, in other words the device is unable to work with multiple applications simultaneously, it lacks a camera as well as the multi-touch keyboard, an HD video port, it is not able to back up Adobe Flash and it does not have adapters to connect cameras.

One should say that the iPad is only a half way of a great laptop. It was said that everything that you could get with the Ipad could be found in a usual computer, the device saved only a half pound of weight.

If compare the iPad with a MacBook or MacBook Pro, it should be mentioned that it is not so good. With the help of this new device you are able to do a lot of thing, but it lacks a number of significant features.

You are not able to use Flash but at the same time you do not have to think about patching Flash every month. You are not able to choose which browser to download and then use it as it should be approved by Apple.

But still we should understand that there will be users of the iPad that just want to pay and play.

iPad Is Not So Impressive as It was Claimed

Finally, the Apple’s iPad was released. The device resembles the iPhone as it has the same large screen but due such screen a user is able to use a larger keyboard. The device comes with better multimedia and internet experience.

It powered with fast processor that means it is more capable in the point of view of technique. But in fact this point is a bit moot.

If compare the iPod and the iPad, then one can say that the tablet device is loosing with features. It is obvious that it is not a phone, but can be regarded as an oversized iPhone that is unable to make calls.

The netbook is considered as a cheap laptop as it lacks the free ecosystem of application and development as the netbooks have. But a user can avail apps from the Apple store, but some of them will be irrelevant for a device as it is not a phone. Others will require a long process of updating.

It was claimed that the gadget would offer the best internet browsing experience. It means that it is important for the device to support Flash, but the iPad lacks it. It is a blunder if the device does not have support for the full and rich internet experience. A range of applications are based on Flash so it means that a user will not be able to view a web-video.

Everyone is waiting for Wednesday when Apple will introduce its tablet-sized product. CEO Steve Jobs said the following: “This will be the most important thing I’ve ever done.”

This phrase was referred to Jobs by Michael Arrington of “TechCrunch”, a person who criticized very often Apple and its iPhone and was thinking to release a tablet-sized product that he would call the “CrunchPad.”

Arrington wrote that he was looking forward to see what the new device is able to do. But still everyone should wait for Wednesday, the day when everyone would get more information about the new device.

The concept concerning the CrunchPad started to increase in price around $300 to $400 despite the fact that advertising subsidies expected from force-bundled software. It should be said that Arrington’s vaporware CrunchPad was awarded by “Popular Mechanics” last October as being one of “the top 10 most brilliant gadgets, tools and toys that you can buy in 2009,” nevertheless the gadget was not completed.

Then Arrington made an announcement according to which his hardware partner decided to create the gadget on its own, thinking that Arrington’s TechCrunch would promote and not financially benefit as a partner. Later Arrington wrote that the CrunchPad project was dead.

In December Fusion Garage decided to offer the tablet device for $500 that came under the name JooJoo but as a result Arrington precede against the company in Federal court

Will the Apple Tablet Be Used for Games?

Despite the fact that there were a lot of rumors about the Apple tablet, we still know a little about the device. But the event that will be held this week, i.e. on January 27 adds a new wrinkle to the story. A prominent gaming blog such as Kotaku was invited to the event which may mean that there will be news related to games.

It is difficult to say whether the tablet will become the biggest push of Apple.

According to some reports, Apple employed two gaming executives during a week’s time in April, among them was Richard Teversham, former senior European director of business, insights and strategy for the Xbox, and Bob Drebin, chief technical officer of AMD’s graphics group and creator of the graphics chip for Nintendo’s GameCube.

In August there was a rumor from an unnamed analyst according to which that the main point of the tablet would be multimedia and gaming.

Later in November, the company was looking for a game designer for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

It should be mentioned that Apple talked about gaming in two press events last year. The release of the iPhone’s OS 3.0 had support for microtransactions and also the company knocked Sony and Nintendo at its iPod event in September.

What Can Wee Expect from Rumors about New Apple Tablet

It was expected that Apple, having ditched MacWorld last year, would make an official announcement at the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show in January.

But still the company is keeping CES at arm’s length. And due to rumors of a new Apple tablet, the company is picking up steam before the holidays, Jobs and Company are balanced to upstage CES once again.

According to The New York Times, Jobs was please to hear rumors about the product. It is till unknown whether the Apple tablet will be inveiled with the same fanfare as the iPhone. If remember 2007 year, the release of Apple’s highly-anticipated smatphone stole whatever thunder CES had hoped to secure. Very soon Macworld drew attention of IT last winter.

But it seems like the history is again repeating. The company planned to release its tablet model in January. According to The Financial Times, Apple booked the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco for several days at the end of January and it is expected that the device will be released on January 26.

Still one can hear various rumors concerning CES, for example, Dell will probably release its new tablet PC that is based on Android operating system

What Should We Expect from Apple Tablet?

Despite the fact that there are a lot of rumors concerning the upcoming Apple tablet, the mythical device will soon appear in the market. The information about the gadget one can find on different blogs. But still many analysts think that that Apple tablet will alter netbook/tablet market.

But still many consider that the device will have a higher resolution and probably iPhone OS that was created specifically for a 5-inch screen size. If use Mac OS X Snow Leopard on the tablet then it will not work as the OS is not created for touchscreen use. But it is expected that tablet will base on Mac OS X.

At present many netbooks are available with 5 hours of battery life, and in order to compete with other carriers, Apple will have to provide at least 50 percent increase in battery life, about 8 hours or more.

Also the tablet should have iTunes as it will play a big role in achieving success in the market. As for wireless sync, the company should use Wi-Fi paring, as due to it, it will be able to sync between two devices by means of a router or even directly when two gadgets are near each other.

Price is also considered to be an important factor, if Apple offer its new device for $800, then it won’t find the market as at present one can purchase a netbook for about $300-$400. Apple will need to price the tablet in $500-$600 range.

Any New Rumors About Apple Tablet?

It became known that Apple tablet received the status of a mobile computer. Moreover, it has become a hot topic around the CNET offices.

There are two opinions concerning the device, i.e. the Apple tablet is expected to be a 10-or-so-inch tablet P that will be based on Mac OS X operating system or it will be a larger-screen version of the present-day iPod Touch.

The previous would mean it would be able to run any software from Firefox to Photoshop. Moreover there would be a possibility to download Windows 7 through Boot Camp or Parallels.

But still many consider the Apple tablet will be akin to a touch-screen, keyboard-less version of the company’s current laptops

A lot of rumors were heard about Apple tablet. The last ones can be observed in the Financial Times reports, i.e. the company is going to introduce its new device at a press event on January 26 in San Francisco but at the same time the Silicon Alley Insider confirms that several app manufacturers were asked to prepare large-screen versions of their current iPhone apps.

But according to the current folks, all lead to a device that will not have a full PC-style operating system, the purported 10-inch screen of the Apple tablet can make a different set of psychological expectations from consumers.

Apple tablet in 2010 Starting ?

Apple tablet was on the way and one of the many questions raised was why it has taken so long for Apple to release their tablet considering the plethora of tablet devices commercially available.

It doesn’t take much to get the Apple rumor mill spinning at full tilt, especially when it comes to hints and suggestions over the company’s long anticipated, never-officially-confirmed tablet device. While speculation has grown over the past couple of years, Apple has managed to successfully suppress any official details of the supposed tablet.

The New York Times recently reported that Jobs was “extremely pleased” with the rumored product, and a tablet-like device of some kind seems at this point to be a foregone conclusion.

Sources familiar with the plans told Financial Times that the electronics giant has reserved a stage at the Yerba Buena Centre for the Arts in San Francisco, and is anticipated to make a “major product announcement” on 26th of January.

Earlier this year, Munster issued a report suggesting that the tablet would feature a 7- to 10-inch screen and retail for between $500 and $700, effectively filling a strategic gap for Apple between the iPod Touch and its low-end Mac desktops. Munster wrote, “We believe an Apple tablet would be priced 30 to 50 percent below the $999 MacBook, and would offer best-in-class Web, e-mail and media software. In other words, we believe Apple’s tablet would compete well in the netbook category even though it would not be a netbook.”

Apple has not ascertained the existence of such a device though.
