As Sony built in multicore Cell processor in PlayStation 3, many video games producers complain that it is hard to play the game on PS3 platform.

In order to resolve the issue Sony decided to look for an alternative, i.e. processor architecture that will replace Cell processor.

They say that Sony will draw its attention towards more mainstream multicore processor architecture that will probably be integrated into PS4 but still the company is having talks with other processor manufacturers among them are Intel and AMD.

But still PlayStation 4 will be available not until 2012-2013.
