It looks like Sony is also planning to manufacture the tablet computer because one of its head showed his interest in the emerging sector. At the conference that took place in Tokyo, Sony’s CFO Nobuyuki Oneda said that the company is interested in the market of tablet computers.

It happened that Sony introduced its W Series to the traditional netbook market late and does not want to be left behind in the tablet craze following the iPad’s in March.

Probably the company will unveil its new tablet product. But still no devices were mentioned. According to the company, it is going to release a range of cell phones that will be available in the market in October.

It is also planning to launch a new online service that will include music, movies, games and ebooks the company’s TVs, PCs, Walkmans and e-readers.
