Sony is working on a 3D camera that gives an opportunity to users to create their own 3D content. Unfortunately, the details concerning the camera are kept in a secret. The company is going to make it as a part of family products.
According Masashi Imamura, president of Sony’s personal imaging and sound business group, the company is working on a 3D type of product but the details concerning it will not be disclosed.
The company believes that 3D is considered to be another big aspect in television. Sony’s first 3D televisions were released this week and they will be available in the market from June. Also the company is going to launch an update for the PlayStation 3 console that will come with backup for 3D games and Blu-ray Disc movies. Moreover, it became known, that Sony is developing a Vaio laptop which will be equipped with 3D capability.
TV cameras and satellite trucks have already been developed by its professional content creation division and now it operates with broadcasters to launch 3D channels. The company is planning to offer a 3D promotion at the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
One should mention that there are competitors that have already released 3D camera technology. Not so long ago Panasonic showcased a digital video camera which is able to capture 3D movies. As for FujiFilm, the company is already offering a camera that can shoot 3D pictures and videos as well.
