Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications released a smartphone that comes with a QWERTY keyboard and touchscreen. The model called Aspen. The device runs the new version of Windows Mobile.
Nowadays QWERTY keyboards have become very popular among young people and business users as well. It happens due to the popularity of social networking and e-mail on mobile phones and instant messaging.
The Aspen boasts of a 2.4-inch touchscreen and has a built-in 3.2-megapixel camera. Moreover, the phone backs up A-GPS, one can connect to the Internet with the help of HSPA or Wi-Fi. The phone has become the part of the GreenHeart range which means that it is considered to be an environmentally friendly product.
It should be said that it disregarded as one of the first phones that is based on 6.5.3 of Microsoft’s Windows Mobile operating system. Due to it the device offers better performance.
But the smartphone has a resistive touchscreen meaning it lacks multitouch gestures. Still the price of the Aspen is not known, but it is expected that the device will be appear in the market during the second quarter.
There are hopes that Microsoft and Sony Ericsson will introduce more interesting products at Mobile World Congress.
