Samsung introducs its first new line of 3D LED TVs together with some extras dedicated for its LCD, LED and plasma TV lineups. Some of them are provided with an integrated 3D technology. All the latest 3D TVs can be used with new 3D Blu-ray players, home theater systems as well as new electronic shutter 3D glasses.

C6800 and C8000 series is based on “stereo” dimming process. In order to make a level of darkening equivalent to backlit models it was decided to shut off LEDS at the top, bottom and sides of a dark area in an image. The line of the LED-lit TV can range form the conventional 19-inch UN19C4000 that has a price tag of $380 to the 55-inch 3D capable UN55C900 which is available for $7,000.

One should admit 3DTVs are not so popular because there is no 3D content. But Samsung is in alliance with DreamWorks Animation which s known for its “Monsters” as well as “Shrek” series animated features. According to Samsung, users will be able to view 3D versions of the “Shrek” movies.

As for C8000 and C7000 series plasma TVs, they are considered to be 3D capable. Those who are going to purchase the new model, they will get a free starter kit that comes with a 3D version of “Monsters vs. Aliens” from DreamWorks and two Samsung 3D glasses or a Samsung HT-66930 home theater system or even a Samsung BD-6900 3D Blu-ray player.

All the new devices are equipped with integrated hardware that is able to transfer 2D content into 3D. In case you are looking forward to buy a new device, you should know the smaller units will appear in the market this month.
