Samsung’s i8910 Omnia HD has many features that have set new standards for the other makers and the users also. This is the first phone that brought HD video recording and this also is the first such device to have a unique screen and that has a fast UI.

The phone has an amazing screen of 3.7 inches and the critics say that it is one of the few Symbian phones which have AMOLED screen. There are many features which were first seen on this phone only.

However, despite being such an amazing phone for the users, Samsung has not been favoring this phone much and soon after its launch, the company sort of ditched the Symbian operating system and resorted to Android and its bada OS. There were also very little updates for Omnia HD and few updates were in place only when the users took the things in their hands. As a result of it a user designed a custom firmware known as HyperX that has reached its seventh generation and the phone has remained contemporary device mainly thanks to this firmware. The handset is still one of the favorites of the users in the market.
