Nvidia has introduced its Nvidia ION 2 graphics solution for netbook and desktop platform at CeBIT 2010 even in Hanover, Germany.

The Nvidia ION is regarded as the next-generation ION graphics whose platform would work in harmony with Intel Pineview N450 processor. Nvidia Optimus technology boasts with 10 hours of battery life.

The chip of this processor comes with up to 16 CUDA cores. Nvidia ION 2 graphics processor claim to perform 10 times faster as compared to the graphics of the standard netbooks. It also features 1080p HD support along with SD and HD hardware video decodes acceleration.

Moreover, Nvidia ION features Windows 7 Home Premium operating system support along with DirectX 10.1, OpenGL 3.1 and HD audio. ION 2 features multi-monitor support with Dual-link DVI, Display Port, HDMI and VGA ports especially foe the desktops.
