The Samsung Omnia HD supporting Windows Phone 7 was announced at MIX10 conference yesterday. But now Samsung has given a confirmation that they dint not design this device rather the handset was apparently the modded Omnia HD developed to run Symbian S60 v5.

The Samsung officials had said that it was launched by Microsoft and not Samsung and also they made use of the i8910HD for demonstrating Windows 7. The company is still not sure that if the current i8910HD users could update with Windows 7 or not.

However, the Omnia HD holds a number of doubts that point towards the proper adoption of the handset to work on Windows Phone 7. The phone is expected to have lower resolutions of 320×640 and the 600 MHz processor that do not match with the requirements to run WP7S.

So even after the official display it is not sure that the phone will end up with all the promises or not.
