On Tuesday Nikon unveiled seven new compact point and shoot cameras that have a price tag between $129.95 and $399.95. Nikon COOLPIX 100pj is considered to be a projector camera that provides fast shooting speeds and is equipped with high-resolution touch screens. It has HD video capture.

As for the COOLPIX S6000, it offers 0.3 seconds of shutter lag. It is able to capture 14.2-megapixel images with the help of a 7X optical zoom. The camera captures HD video at 720p30 resolution. The COOLPIX S6000 has the price tag of $249.95 and it will be available in March.

The Nikon COOLPIX S8000 is equipped with a stunning LCD. But still one can mention that a big part of compact cameras come with LCD screens that have 230,000 dots. As for the S8000, it includes 921,000 due to which it is possible to receive a sharp picture. The camera provides 14.2 megapixel captures, HD video at 720p30 and 10X optical zoom. It will cost $299.95 and will appear in the market in February.

The new COOLPIX P100 is considered to be a flagship superzoom. It offers 26X optical zoom, HD video capture at 1080p30 and a 3-inch 460,000-dot LCD.  The camera is available for $399.95. Consumers will be able to buy it in March.
