According to the recent news from NASA, the space shuttle Discovery and its staff of seven was to ground on the NASA’s Florida spaceport on Monday morning but the NASA is expecting rain delays on Sunday for which it warned the astronauts of the space shuttle.

Alan Poindexter, commander of the Shuttle stated that he and his crew have no problem staying up in the orbit and can wait till Tuesday to land on mother earth. Efforts are in progress and Mission Control has the instructions to keep its eye on the weather forecast so as if any improvement in the climate is encountered, the Discovery will make up to the destination and if it does not work out with the weather then also the NASA has the backup with its Southern California site of landing.

The Discovery took three spacewalks so as to install the tank full of ammonia coolant; it also stockpiled itself with supplies, and the science experiments and also some extra spare parts from the International Space Station.

The space shuttle can stay up in the orbit till Wednesday as it has the required and sufficient stuff for 3 more days and also the wrinkles of the volcanic eruption in Iceland and the cloud of ashes over the Europe would not interfere with its landing.
