Microsoft is giving invitation to the event which will be held on April 12, but it is unknown what the company is going to showcase. But there are people who consider that Microsoft is just going to introduce its 2 handsets which are not considered to be smartphones and are going to target mainstream consumers but not power users.

The names of the handset were revealed in September, last year. The phone will come under the name of the Pure as well as Turtle. The devices come in a slider form format and are equipped with touch screen displays. These handsets are considered to be the first thrust of Microsoft into the mobile phone hardware segment. The new handsets can be used for social networking and spot the Zune music service.

In fact, it should be interesting if the company will decided to introduce something unexpected at the event. For example, it can be a Microsoft branded smartphone. But still the company takes such developments rather cool.

Still it is hard to predict something, nothing has been said when the new devices will be launched, but it would be ideal if the handsets appear within a month of the announcement.
