It seems like Microsoft Internet Explorer is loosing its market share these days. In fact, the market share of Internet Explorer slipped which was accompanied with the adoption of the “Browser Ballot,” this time it concerns India.

Research firm Statcounter said that Internet Explorer has lost its market share by 20 percent for the past two years in India. Probably the cause to such events is that the browser ballot is yet to arrive here.

The decrease in the usage of Internet Explorer can be explained by the fact that it provides considerably lower security protection in comparison to other browsers. Also the huge publicity of any Internet Explorer loopholes resulted in the usage decrease.

One can say that the Google Chrome as well as Mozilla Firefox can be regarded as the biggest gainers at the expense of Internet Explorer’s loss. Moreover, Internet Explorer provides slow Internet speed.

mong 71 millions Internet users, 8 millions are considered to be from India which have a broadband connection. As for Opera , it is not so affected by Internet Explorer’s dip and it is used only by a select group of individual and did not get a lot of advantages after the losses of Internet Explorer.
