Google is revamping its News page in such manner that it becomes more user friendly in terms of giving the consumers more flexibility in customizing of the kinds of headlines they see and they can also share stories on social networking sites.

According to the new reports, the Google News page is likely to be called News for You and it will have a stream of headlines that users can pick up as per their interest.

The users will be provided an ‘edit personalization’ box so that they can indicate about their interest regarding the news. This will allow them to have news on business, health and entertainment as per their preferences.

But the users will be required to first log on the page in order to have access to the headlines for their interests.

The ‘news settings’ tab of the page will allow the visitors to choose the news source also. Google is also thinking of displaying of links to topics so that the users can send the links to friends and other people on social networking sites to share their interest with others.

There will also be a Spotlight section in order to highlight the stories of lasting interest and are more important than breaking news.
