When purchasing the Nexus One many consumers did not read the fine print of their contract with Google and T-Mobile and as a result they were shocked by the fact in case they want to terminate their contract, they will have to pay the fee in the amount of $500. The huge ETF didn’t set well and in order to help users who are not satisfied with the handset, Google cut the upgrade price by $100.
According to ComputerWorld, Google diminished its ETF on the Nexus One by $200 which means that the overall ETF with Google and T-Mobile combined is $350. It is the same price compared to Verizon’s. Google did not report about the diminished ETF and decided to make changes in its terms of service.
Moreover, the search giant included a line to its terms of service, i.e. users who upgraded an existing T-Mobile line to the Nexus One, would need to pay Google $50 for canceling early. It means that there will be no profits on ETFs.
Also the company released a Nexus One phone support line due to which owners will be able to get answers to their questions. The number for the support line is 888-48NEXUSit functions between 4 a.m. and 7 p.m. PST.
