To trim the costs, Dell decided to cut the price of the Adamo 13, moreover, the company made it silently. A base 1.4GHz model is now available for $999, i.e. 500 less than its initial cost.

The system had a price tag of $1,999, it is considered to be the price when it was released about 10 months ago.

The 2.1GHz version was also dropped in the price, now it costs $1,799. The version is improved as chip as well as a 3G modem, double the RAM and double the SSD drive space were added.

It is unclear why the company cut the prices, but it is regarded as an attempt to clear out stock. The company considered the Adamo 13 as a rival to the MacBook Air but got tepid reaction because of its high price and also it offers low performance.

Apple utilized the speedier Core 2 Duo S since it launched the Air before the Adamo introduced two performance upgrades.
