Next iPad Will Be Equipped with 7 and 5.6- inch OLED Screens

It is expected that the second generation iPad will probably be equipped with a 7 and 5.6-inch OLED screens. Moreover, it is expected that it may hit the shelves in the fourth quarter of 2010.

According to anonymous sources, Apple has placed orders of the new iPad to component makers that are based on Taiwan for the fourth quarter of 2010 and also the first quarter of 2011.

According to the report the 7 and 5.6- inch models will be developed for the e-book reader market. As for the 9.7-inch model, it will be available with some changes and will be targeted at the multimedia entertainment market.

As a matter of fact, the report is based on rumors that appeared in April and suggested that the second-generation iPad would be equipped with an OLED screen.

In fact, one should pay attention to this rumor as OLED screens are considered to be very expensive nowadays. According to Mingchi Kuo, the analyst of Digitimes Research, the current price of 9.7-inch LCD iPad is about $60-$70, as for a 9.7-inch OLED screen, it is available for $500.

Moreover, it was discovered that Samsung Electronics which is regarded as the largest OLED maker does not have the capacity to provide its own products with OLED screens. So there are doubts that Apple will be able to find itself in a windfall of OLED screens.

Microsoft announces Windows Phone 7 Beta

Microsoft has announced release of Window Phone 7 development tools Beta. This may also mean that the phone is about to be revealed to the public. The company has in a statement said that the Beta will be final version of the tools that are used for building of applications as well as games for the phone.

The company has said that the Windows Phone Developer Tool CTP has been widely adopted by the developer. But the company now builds apps and games for Windows Phone 7 and consumer can start it this holiday season.

Blizzard allows fake names for StarCraftII

Under the pressure from the users, Blizzard has finally allowed them to use their any name and will not be forced to mention their real names. Earlier the plan was that the users should use their real names in its StrarCraft II and World of Warcraft forums.

The company now has official said that it had decided at this time that real names will not be needed for posting of official Blizzard forums as against the earlier announcement that anonymous character names will not be allowed.

The reaction to this from the users was that people play video games to get away from everyday tensions of life and to use the real name was possibly the worst idea. But Mike Morhaime, CEO and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment says, when we launch the new ‘StarCraft II’ forums that include these new features, you will be posting by your ‘StarCraft II’ Battle.net character name + character code, not your real name,” he wrote. ‘The upgraded ‘World of Warcraft’ forums with these new features will launch close to the release of ‘Cataclysm,’ and also will not require your real name.” He says that the company has separate plans for its Real ID program.

Maruti Alto advance version to be launched soon

a new and advanced version of Maruti Alto, which is already the best selling car in India, will be launched soon, according to the reports. It is learnt that the capacity of the new car will be enhanced substantially for a better driving experience.

The reports say that the advance version of Maruti Alto will have a 10 k-series engine which is considered as powerful engine for high speed of the cars. This engine will bring back to the car at par with Maruti A-Star, Zen Estilo and Wagon R. After the car is installed with the new engine, reports are that it will be capable of producing 66 php and 90 NM torque. Then, the car will be one of those few vehicles which are known for top speed.

It is also learnt that the engine will enable the car for tremendous changes as far as driving experience is concerned and driving is expected to be much smoother and easier. The analysts are of the view that these changes in Maruti Alto are being made to combat tough competition that the company faces from Chevrolet’s Spark. Android market share up by 44 percent

Google’s Android mobile operating system has been gaining rapid market share in quick time. In only four months from February to May, its market share has jumped higher by 44 percent. But it has still some way to go before it topples Apple. Indication are that Android may soon become the leader of its pack.

The latest statistics released by a site say that all of Google’s competitors lost market share in that time period. Apple falling to 24.4%, a loss of 1%, Microsoft lost market share from 15.1% to 13.2%, which is the biggest lost posted by a company, though this was expected, as the company is getting ready to launch Windows Mobile 7. So, it seems that the only company loosing market share heavily is Research in Motion, which lost its share 0.4% and dropped to 41.7%.

The huge sales posted by Android not only do well for Google, but it also heavily increased quarterly results of smartphone manufacturers. For the second quarter of this year, HTC’s profits reached $268 million

Borders to launch books on variety of phones and iPads

The second largest bookstore chain in US, Borders has started its business in the e-book market as well. The move from the bookstore is meant to revive its business that has seen a slump recently. The bookstore’s sales from its stores have fallen 11.4 percent last year.

Now Border has started a brand new e-book store in anticipation of revival of its sales. The company has already set the goal for its sales. According to the company it aims at having a market share of 17 percent by July 2011. The Borders has no favorites, while Amaozon.com has book stores along with its Kindle e-book reader and Barnes & Nobles sells Nook e-book reader.

There are no reports to suggest that the company will sell books for Nooks or Kindles, but its stores will be selling books for Android of Google, Blackberry of RIM and iPhone of Apple. The company’s books also will be available on Sony and Kobo’s e-book reader. The books are also available for iPad tablet. Chief executive of the Borders, Mike Edwards has said, “We’ll take market share just by turning it on. Samsung launches Q series HD LED display laptops

Twitter sheds Beta Tag for BlackBerry

Apple banns a fraudulent developer, enhances security

Apple has blocked a developer from accessing to the company’s online store after he was found to have breached the accounts of users. The developer also was reportedly involved in fraudulent purchases. His applications also have been blocked.

The company released some details about the frauds the developer was playing in iTunes purchases. However, later the company said that it blocked the developer Thuat Nguen from the App Store and his applications also were banned. He was held responsible for buying the applications without taking prior permissions for it. If different blogs are to be believed, the developer’s applications were placed at top 50 positions in the pp Store’s book category.

An Apple spokeswoman, Trudy Muller, has said that the developer’s fraudulent activities had affected about 400 users but she refused to tell about the numbers of account under impact. She told that Apple’s servers were untouched and credit card data of millions of customers were safe. She said that’ There was no hack into iTunes’’

She also told that Apple had now made decisions about further enhancing of the security on iTunes after this incident. She said that users will now be entering the entire credit card security code frequently.
