April 15 is considered to be the day when Microsoft stop supporting its online services for Xbox games on the Xbox 360.

According to the blog written by Hryb, such alteration will let the company to develop LIVE service that will be available with new features as well as experiences that harness the power of Xbox 360 and the Xbox LIVE community.

There was an article written by The New York Times saying that the Microsoft users regard Xbox not only as a gaming machine for teenagers but also a media portal for parents as well as grand parents.

In reality Microsoft make big plans concerning Xbox Live. Moreover, the company had negotiations with Disney about a programming deal with ESPN according to which ESPN would be able to stream sports to the channel a la ESPN 360.

It would be a good deal, as a big part of people watch TV than game. Moreover, gaming consoles are found in many households and they are considered to be acceptable platforms in order to stream media from the Internet.
