After Apple unveiled its iPad, Steve Jobs introduced the company’s latest application such an e-book reader that comes under the name iBooks.
The device resembles the interface of Shelfari.com that is considered to be the online website offering book information that was brought by Amazon. The main interface looks like a bookshelf that has a button to the Apple Store with the help of which one can find, purchase as well as download e-books directly to the iPad.
The Apple iPad is based on the ePub format that is regarded as an open format. With iBooks you are able to alter fonts, browse a table of contents, flip pages, drag pages, and so on.
Also the company updated the iWorks application in order it could better work on the Apple iPad. A new version of Keynote, Pages and Numbers were created for the Apple iPad. Due to this version you are able to work on spreadsheets, edit presentations, create, and also write documents using Pages.
