Known as the iPhone AppStore, this is another Another sacrifice to the Altar of Apple’s Madness.
The one commandment that Apple AppStore reviewers seem t be following is “You shall not innovate”. Amongst the many applications that have got rejected, nothing seems to be common.
A pioneering service launched by Google, Google Voice has come up as a revolution in the way telephony is used by us in our daily lives. It does much the same for Voice communication as Gmail does for emails.
The greatest threat posed by this application is to AT&T as it provides unlimited free SMS’s and cheap international calling rates.
As per the quite accurate definition by Google itself, “Google Voice gives you one number for all your phones, voicemail as easy as email, and lots of cool calling features.”
Just imagine how nice it is going to be! Alas, iPhone users will be out of the sphere.
They recently ‘requested’ that Google Latitude application should be deployed as a web application instead of a native application. This is because it would be conflicting with its own Maps Application. Apple definitely keeps itself in news by stuff like this if not anything else.
