An Indo-Pak group that consists of students from both countries decided to develop a new crew ship with the help of which one can travel from Earth to Mars, moreover they will be able to rival with students from different countries at NASA.
National Aeronautics and Space Administration and Boeing organized the Sixteenth Annual International Space Settlement Design Competition under which school students from Delhi and Lahore made a new project to travel from Earth to Mars.
At the heart of the project an innovative idea was brought. In order to get to Mars it is necessary to use a space craft. People will be able to leave the space craft in the orbit between Earth and Mars. According to the project the spacecraft can include 8,800 people, i.e. 300 crew members and 6,500 travelers.
Twelve students from Amity International School and fifteen students from Lahore worked on the project.
Furthermore, the students built a city in space that may become home for about 10,000 people. They showed technical competence, environmental knowledge, creativity, teamwork, and presentation techniques in order to work up the problems related to designing a Space Settlement. They demonstrated a 40-page report where one can see their ideas and designs
