Heavy Rain, Quantic Dream’s next film noir themed game for PS3 got banned by United Arab Emirates’ National Media Council (NMC) for unidentified reasons. Although there is no reason of ban but ‘an oppressive seduction scene’ in the game could have been the reason.

Heavy Rain is the second game which has been banned in UAE after the Electronic Arts’ Darksider.

Heavy Rain will hit the U.S. stores today and is exclusive to the Sony PlayStation 3 console. After the ban of Darksiders, Electronic Arts has abandoned the release of Dante’s Inferno in UAE.

The Heavy Rain has an 18+ PEGI rating that has been got from the genuinely adult experience. It deals with some strong content that includes blood as well as nudity but treats the content maturely and sensibly.
Regardless of being banned such games will remain in UAE through the gray market channels.
